Past Broadband Strategies Workshops

The Center for Innovative Technology is launching a series of broadband workshops to help communities overcome obstacles to broadband access by educating community leaders on strategies for enhancing broadband access. Workshop topics to include: Virginia’s Community Broadband Planning Strategies Guide, Virginia’s updated Broadband Toolkit, Virginia’s broadband deployment planning tools and a public public-private partnership case study.

Workshop dates/times are as follows:

  • Luray – February 26, 2014
    • Targeting localities in Northern Shenandoah RC, Thomas Jefferson PDC, and Rappahannock-Rapidan RC
  • St. Stephens Church – March 11, 2014 
    • Targeting localities in Middle Peninsula Planning District, Northern Neck PDC, George Washington RC, and Accomack-Northhampton PDC
  • Lexington – March 28, 2014
    • Targeting Roanoke Valley Alleghany RC, Central Shenandoah PDC, and Region 2000 LGC
  • Lebanon – April 4, 2014 
    • Targeting Lenowisco PDC, Cumberland Plateau PDC, Mount Rogers PDC, and NRV PDC
  • Keysville – April 25, 2014
    • Targeting Commonwealth RC, Southside PDC, West Piedmont PDC
  • Surry – May 28, 2014
    • Targeting Crater PDC, Hampton Roads PDC, and Richmond Regional PDC
